Perpetual Rewiring

Fabric Creases

If you're trying to remove wrinkles or add creases to fabric, nothing works as well as ironing. It'll be more effective, faster, and easier to control.

But, ironing is a hassle.

If you just need to manage a large crease for functional reasons such as sharpening a seam or uncurling a hem, a touch of water with some heavy books on top overnight will work wonders in a pinch. It'll still be visible, but the fabric will be flat/creased enough to do whatever you need.

I do this all the time for minor wardrobe issues or hidden alterations, especially when away from home.

Nightly Notes

The world always needs more guides on how to do things the sloppy way. You can't use duct tape or WD-40 for everything, but there must be some equivalent for skills.
