If you're holding some papers and want to stop them from flopping away from you, pinch from the bottom so the sides curl inwards slightly. The pressure from the inwards curve will keep the paper from tilting away from you, and it's doable one-handed. With a bit of finesse you can also curve most paper to stand up on a table without a hard crease or external support, although it's so floppy there's almost no use case.
This is also handy if you are walking quickly or facing a mild wind which wants to ruffle the paper. Of course, if the paper itself shouldn't be bent, you'll have to use two hands and hold it the normal way.
Let physics work for you, not against.

Nightly Notes
I've been fighting liquid physics recently, to predictable results.
Anyway. Writing. I've been hit by inspiration to write several unrelated things recently. I'm not sure how much is attributable to building a writing habit, but it's surely non-zero. Unfortunately this comes at the cost of less brainspace to consider writing here.
It's a net positive, though it doesn't feel like one. Too many things are like that.
