Whenever you dump dirty dishes in the sink, even if you do nothing else, three second blast with hot water. I can't think of anything with a better effort to frustration reduction ratio.
You're already at the sink anyway. Just flick the tap on when you get to the sink and give the dish(es) a quick swirl as you set them down. No actual washing, just loosening the worst of the gunk.
The actual time save is minimal. For all but the most stubborn of sauces, a minute of hot water with a bit of soap and scrubbing will have the same effect.
But really, scrubbing the dishes is such a drag. Those five minutes of scrubbing and waiting for the food to decide it's time to go are annoying, and I have better things to do.
I left some cheese goop to solidify on a fork the other day. It was gone after a mere ten seconds of running the fork under hot water and wiping, but I had to actually focus on that fork. If I had rinsed the fork when I was done with it, that would have been a cursory rinse with some soap in a handful of other utensils. No attention needed.
What a waste.

Nightly Notes
Another day, another tone shift. I'm tired for a variety of reasons, but I don't think I want to keep writing in such a downer tone. That's how it came out. I suppose it's honest, but it's also detrimental.
I usually frame these things as your life could be better for a reason. The world needs more uplifting.
Be kind to your future self, who has to wash your dirty forks.
Be kind to your past self, who didn't have the energy to wash them then.
Be kind to your present self, who does the best they can.
Happy Tuesday,
